Blue Bend.

If you follow the Tennessee River as it dips into northeast Alabama, you’ll find a creek wandering from its flow; a creek that fills the air of Marshall County with the sounds of soft rapids and lapping wildlife. Blue Bend is a turn along that winding thread of blue.

Blue Bend Creative’s founder, Sharon Autry, says her “soul was fed” by the people of Marshall County. Some who nourished her were family: Memaw, Pepaw, Aunt and Uncle - kinfolk who lived life along the banks of Scarham Creek, where Blue Bend heads in its flow southward. Other soul-feeders were teachers, neighbors and saints who poured into her life and showed her a quality of character she hasn’t seen often while away from that place she still calls home.

The work accomplished through Blue Bend Creative is a testimony of the lingering influence the beauty that region's land holds, as well as a testimony of the industry found in the hard work and ingenuity modeled for Sharon in her formative years.

If the legacy of Blue Bend Creative is filled with words like diligent, honest, fair, resourceful...full of beauty and life...it will have lived up to its namesake.
